Getting active together

Nine residents. A new experience together.

Nine Aspect residents took part in a bowling outing, with some trying it for the first time. It offered a change of scene and a chance to enjoy an activity together.

The outing made room for friendly competition, conversation and gentle physical activity. Shared experiences like these are one way we help residents build confidence and connections beyond their accommodation.

Residents shaping services

A coffee morning with a purpose.

Resident representatives joined the Aspect team for a coffee morning to discuss their roles and how they can bring other residents' views into conversations about our services.

The discussion focused on listening to lived experience: what is working, what could be improved and how residents can help shape better support. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and shared their perspective.

Connections in the community

Coffee and conversation at Tricorn Café.

Aspect attended a coffee drop-in organised by Reliance Social Housing at Tricorn Café in Edgbaston. Residents and people from the local community had space to meet the Reliance team, ask questions and talk about accommodation.

The relaxed setting encouraged people to share experiences and make connections. Thank you to Reliance Social Housing for bringing everyone together. This is a look back at the event; speak with your support worker about current opportunities to take part.

Health and wellbeing

Bringing health support closer to residents.

On 4 September 2026, support worker Ruhela organised a voluntary, confidential blood-borne virus testing session for six residents, delivered by Andy from SIFA.

The session offered testing for HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C, alongside health information and harm-reduction advice. Bringing specialist support into a familiar setting helped residents access the session with support from the team.

Thank you to SIFA and the Aspect staff involved. Residents interested in health support can speak privately with their support worker about the options currently available.
