If someone is in immediate danger
Call 999 for emergency help. Do not wait for a website or email response. Move to a safe place if you can do so safely.
Tell Aspect about a concern.
Our safeguarding statement is that people using our services should be treated with dignity and protected from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation. You can raise a concern about yourself or someone else, including a concern about staff or a person connected with a property.
Call the Aspect office on (0121) 792 5342 and explain that you want to report a safeguarding or community concern. Ask for the person handling safeguarding or Community Relations. You do not need to be a resident to contact us.
For a non-urgent initial enquiry, email info@aspecthousing.org.uk. Give a safe way to contact you and a brief outline; ask how to share sensitive information securely before sending detailed records. Email is not an emergency service.
Office and out-of-hours contact detailsYou can also report possible abuse or neglect of an adult with care and support needs directly through Birmingham City Council’s adult safeguarding route. You do not have to wait for Aspect to respond before seeking help.
Explain what you have noticed.
- What happened, where and when, and whether anyone is at risk now.
- How the team can contact you safely, including anything they should avoid.
- Any help you need to explain the concern or understand the next steps.
Do not investigate the situation yourself or put yourself at risk. Ask the team who will handle your concern and what happens next. Do not assume that information can be kept secret if it needs to be shared to protect someone.

For a complaint about service quality or how an issue has been handled, see Complaints & feedback. If there is a safety concern as well, use the safeguarding route above rather than waiting for the complaint process.
